| Abstract: | The forthcoming 21st century will bring about many great changes. The new situation shall demand corresponding reform in architectural education.In view of the shock and challenge for architectural education from different sources, this paper analyses theproblems that exist in the architectural teaching patterns prevalent in most Chinese universities and colleges. Thewriter maintains that reform in the architectural teaching pattern should at least be carried out in the followingdirections namely, systematic teaching arrangement, systematization in course set-up, frequent updating ofcourse content, application of hi-tech in teaching and systematization of teaching materials for main courses. |
