| Abstract: | Application of biotechnology in textile pretreatment processing is described with enzymatic desizing and scouring & blenching in the pretreatment of cotton fabric; enzymatic scouring of flax and of silk fabric as well as enzymatic washing of wool discussed in this paper. Problems in the pretreatment processing with enzymes are also analysed. |
