Simulation von Spannungsschwankungen durch Windparks

Growing awareness for the relevance of renewable national energy sources stimulated a trend towards application of wind power plants for production of electricity in Austria the last years. Facing the standard development of areas with economic wind energy potential by 20 kV voltage level, grid companies as well as wind park owners are confronted with power quality questions as a result of increasing wind park power output. Using numerical simulation all interdependencies between the electrical grid and wind parks in consideration of characteristics of single wind power plants as well as the electrical grid can be studied.
