| Abstract: | Coated fuel particles, as used in high-temperature gas-cooled reactors, consist of a fuel kernel and a spherically symmetric multilayer coating. During their lifetime they undergo varying stress states, caused by the simultaneous occurrence of a number of basic physical effects. |
