Techniques for Casing Failure Prevention and Comparison

Casing failure is the result of integral action of multi-factors, for which corresponding casing failure prevention countermeasures are proposed, such as the techniques of in situ stress research , early maintaining casing, blowdown and stimulation in high pressure injection wells, matched corrosion prevention in oil and gas wells and as well as integral management; repair techniques of casing failure wells such as the techniques for well condition monitoring, delayed cementing of slim hole completion, side tracking of (?)139. 7mm casing in mid-deep wells, casing withdrawal and replace, complicated fishing, casing reposition, shaping, casing getting through and reinforcement, casing explosive shaping, patching and reinforcement and integral block area management. These techniques for casing failure prevention are comparatively studied, which is the basis for rational and effective use of these techniques in oilfields.
