温泉堡水库碾压混凝土拱坝是当今世界上建设在寒冷地区坝体最薄，厚高比最小的全断面碾压混凝土拱坝，被列为水利部“八五”科技重点项目。

Wenquanpu RCC arch dam is in frigid area, with the thinnest dam body and the minimum ratio of thickness to height among full section RCC arch dam the world over, at present, Wenquanpu RCC arch dam had been ranked a major project of the scientific research of water resources of Ministry of Water Resources during the Eighth-Five -Year Plan period (include 3 major themes, and 9 suboudinate subjects). This project has been completed successfully with the cooperation of every unit and efforts of the engineering and technical personnel, and have gained signiticant results through the deeply study on arch dam stress analysis, detail structure of dam body, service safety, the proportion of mixture of strong resistance to freeze, the construction workmanship in olw temperature season and narrow area and so on.
