BitTorrent-based fast secure file transfer scheme

This paper presented a secure file transfer scheme which took advantage of BitTorrent very well. BitTorrent was popular in the Internet for its advantage of sharing files, but there existed some security issues, e.g., shared files could be accessed by malicious users. Thus, introduced a symmetric cryptography and authentication scheme into BitTorrent. The shared files are encrypted symmetrically before transferring to users through BitTorrent, and the decryption key of the downloaded files will be delivered to users after authentication. Then the validated user could decrypt the ciphertext and get the original plain texts. Evaluation vesults show that the proposed scheme can achieve fast and secure file distribution.
