Development and Application of Continuous Casting Tundish Lining Refractory in China

This article introduced the development and application status of the refractories used for working lining and permanent lining of continuous casting tundish in China. The continuous casting tundish lining refractories developed from fire clay brick and high-alumina brick to siliceous insulating tile,magnesia insulating tile,basic coating refractories and basic dry-type jolting refractories etc. These refractories were used in different type continuous casting tundish,the good results were obtained,and met the needs of continuous casting production in different period.
