| 摘 要： | 数据处理量大并且数据关系复杂是制约GIS应用、开发的难点。如何建立高效、稳定、灵活的地理信息系统(GIS)是当今软件业的重大课题。GIS有它自身的特点,随着地理信息在生产、生活中占据越来越重要的地位，迫切需要一个灵活、稳定、高效的GIS系统开发环境。文中着重讨论了Smallwrld开发平台的特点及核心技术,尤其对空间数据库技术进行深入研究，随后对Smallworld开发平台的前景作出了展望。

| Abstract: | The data handling have great capacity and the data relation complicacy is to makes GIS application and developing a little bit difficult.How to establish efficiently,stability,vivid geography information system( GIS) is the important lesson of the software industry.With the development of society,geography information play more and more roles not noly on the production,but also on the everyday life.So it is vital for all customs to be provided a high performance development tool and technology with the characteristics of flexible and stable.This paper discusses the technology used by GE-Smallworld.It specially introduces the advantages technology of spatial database.At last ,it discusses the prospect prediction of the development of Smallworld system. |
