The sensitivity of the superconducting transition temperature to residual stress in high-T c intermetallic compounds

Abstract:Residual-stress-induced superconductivity is reported to occur only in the high-T c members of the C14 and C16 crystal systems. Second transitions are also seen in ThIr2(C15) and MoRe3(A12).
