| 摘 要： | 通过分析厦门经济特区皮革工业的发展现状、发展特点和存在问题，提出在知识经济时代来临之际和全世界高新技术蓬勃发展之机，应通过加快技术创新，利用先进的电子信息技术、计算机技术、膜科技技术等，充分发挥厦门经济特区的区位、环境、人才、产业结构等优势，大力推进厦门皮革工业的“二次创业”，实现皮革工业的可持续发展。

| Abstract: | By analysing the current situation of Xiamen leather industry, as well as its characteristics and problems, the author suggested that during the time of knowledge based economy, Xiamen should develop its leather industry on the base of the following steps:taking measure to develop and create new technologies, utilising advanced electronic information technologies, computer and membrane technologies, using the advantages of special economic zone that Xiamen has had in the area of regional location, human resources and industrial structure. |
