Abstract:This paper describes how direct lightning stroke against substation disturbs the electronic devices in control building. Various factors affecting the magnitude of transient voltage induced in indoor loop are analyzed when the lightning protection system(LPS) for control building is directly stricken. Finally, taking the 500kV Pingguo substation as an example, the affection on electronic devices caused by lightning stroke against LPS is demonstrated and the adequate protection measurements are presented.
