The testing instrument for insulation resistance used for cable network about some missile adopts AT89C52 one-chip computer as its test controlling and signal measuring apparatus, so it is portable equipment. The instrument has audio--visual testing principle, testing process and test result, and be easy to maintenance the testing data base when its one--chip computer connects to Pc computer with serial port. The testing principle is testing integrally insulation resistance of one isolated point between the others, which simplifies circuit and cuts down testing time. The instrument controls multi--channel high pressure and tests the leakage current of insulation resistance by used port expanding and A/D conversion circuit, etc. The instrument has used for measuring the insulation resistance of cable network of some type missile and multi-core cable whose connector assembly is series of Y2 or DB.
