| Abstract: | In the non-ferrous metal industry the large consumers of refractories are copper, nickel, lead, zinc and aluminium making furnaces. The development of making furnaces for copper-making, nickel-making etc. and the requirements of refractories are introduced. The magnesite-chrome refractories used in the critical parts of copper, nickel and lead making furnaces, and refractories used in various parts of aluminium reduction cell are described as well. |
