A New Combustion Mode Research Progress-Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition |

| Abstract: | The charaeteristies of homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) are analyzed. The development on replacing conventional diesel or spark ignited combustion by HCCI combustion in reciprocating engines is presented. The layout of the HCCI fuel system is discussed, and the necessity and scheme to study HCCI combustion in China is noted. |
