Wireless Sensors and Networks for Real-Time Temperature Measurement of Materials in Microwave Heating

Microwave is a new type of clean energy source widely used in industrial applications. However, non-uniform heating caused by selective microwave heating and the difficulty of accurate online temperature measurement in microwave field limit the efficient design and application of microwave industrial equipment. To address these problems, a microwave heating temperature measurement system based on wireless sensor network and microcontroller technology is designed, which uses STM32 as microcontroller and CC1101 as wireless transceiver to form a star-type wireless sensor network. A simple upper computer display program to realize real-time temperature measurement at multiple points in microwave heating process is developed. The wireless sensor node(End Device) uses DS18 B20 digital temperature sensor to measure the node position temperature in real time and send data, and the central node(Access Point) receives the data and upload them to PC display through RS232 serial port. The measurement results of the system and the fiber optic thermometer results are compared to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the system. The system is low-cost and flexible in deployment and control, which is suitable for tunneling industrial microwave heating and other applications.
