摘    要:针对MPEG-4实现中算术编码器的计算瓶颈,在算法上对原始Q—coder编码的进位翻转问题和移位加方法进行改进,大大提高了编码效率。针对二值形状视频对象编码消耗大量资源的特点,提出一种高效的实现CAE的VLSI结构。在内部采用了一种延迟缓冲线机制保存输入的像素,每个时钟输出相应模板的内容,问时最大限度地安排要重复使用的像素。

Abstract:This paper focuses on the computational bottleneck of arithmetic coding in MPEG-4. It improves the original Q coder by modified shift-and-add scheme, with the consideration of carry-over problem. In order to get better coding efficiency, a high efficient VLSI structure of CAE is proposed to resolve the high resources consumption problem. It embeds a delay-line buffer in it to store the input pixels, thus it can directly output pixels according to the specific template, reuse data maximally.
