Abstract:Objective To evaluate the situation and risk of pesticide residues and heavy metal contaminationSin Eleocharis tuberosa in China. This paper excavated the existing risks, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures. Methods A total of 71 Eleocharis tuberosa samples were randomly collected from primary producing regions of six province in 2020 to determine the contents of 7 heavy metals and 38 pesticides residues. Results The results showed that the total qualified rate of pesticide residues and heavy metal contamination in Eleocharis tuberosa was 97.2%(69/71). Among 38 pesticides, only Chlormequat chloride could be detected in the sample. 11.3%(8/71) of Eleocharis tuberosa samples had detectable pesticide residues. 2.8%(2/71) of Eleocharis tuberosa samples contained pesticide residue above the MRL (of Chlormequat chloride), and the disqualified samples were distributed in Guangxi province. Heavy metal contamination in Eleocharis tuberose was generally in good condition. The qualified rate was 100%, but the detectable rate was very high. More than three types of heavy metal could be detected with the detection rate was 95.8%(68/71). Conclusion In general, the safety situation of Eleocharis tuberosa in China is relatively good.
