| Abstract: | The increase of the viscosity of quench oil could bring serious trouble to the operation of ethylene production. Recent progress of quench oil viscosity reduction techniques and viscosity reduction agent in ethylene units is introduced. A comparison of different viscosity reduction techniques in different ethylene plants is made. Some researches and mechanism about viscosity reduction agent in China and overseas are introduced. |
