| Abstract: | The poor survival rate for patients with regional lymph node metastases of malignant melanoma reflects the strong association between lymph node and subsequent visceral metastases. The authors discuss clinical considerations, pathologic risk factors, selective lymphadenectomy, examination of lymph node dissections, difficulties of diagnosis, and prognosis. |
