对浙江高等教育"大跃进"的思考

在上世纪五十年代末六十年代初,浙江高等教育经历了一场当时被称为“教育革命”的改革,出现了高等教育“大跃进”局面。期间,高校数量盲目扩张、教育质量严重下降,代价沉重。但高等教育在膨胀的同时,对突破苏联教育模式也进行了有益的探索,并为以后全省高校的发展在专业及科研上奠定了初步的基础。总体上讲,浙江高等教育“大跃进”是一次失败的改革,它最基本的经验教训有二条:一是教育改革要遵循教育发展规律;二是教育改革要建立在教育研究与实验的基础上。

"A Great Leap Forward " in Higher Education in Zhejiang

During the end of 1950s to the early 1960s,the higher education in Zhejiang went through a reform known as "education revolution" and brought about "a Great Leap Forward"in the higher education.During that period, universities grew blindly in number and the quality saw its serious decline,which incurred a heavy loss.However,in the course of such expansion,a beneficial exploration was also made into the former Soviet educational mode,laying an initial foundation in terms of specialty and scientific research for the development of colleges and universities province-wide.Generally speaking,the " Great Leap Forward" in the higher education in Zhejiang was a failure and the lessons we learned are twofold,one is that any educational reform should follow the rules in the educational development and the other is that any educational reform should be based on the educational research and experiment.
