Research of Data Riddling on Reconstruction of NURBS Surfaces in Reverse Engineering

Data riddling on reconstruction of NURBS sur-faces in reverse engineering is a generalized conception. The in-volved contents are very abroad. It includes data processing dur-ing the course of obtaining data. This article discusses that ob-taining regular point cloud data through dispersing surfaces and translating the NC tool tracks into regular point cloud data. In addition,data riddling also includes data processing after obtain-ing data. According to this situation, the article discusses three aspects as follows: smoothing point cloud data, filtering point cloud data, distinguishing and riddling feature point from point cloud data.
