Abstract:In order to develop a new type of nanofiltration membrane suitable for dye wastewater treatment,a self-made PVDF membrane was used as the base membrane,and a TiO2 nanoparticle layer was coated on the surface of the membrane by a sol-gel method,and then a dopamine/PEI layer was coated to prepare PVDF nanofiltration membrane.Effects of preparation conditions on membrane surface characteristics and filtration performance were investigated.The results showed that,TiO2 and dopamine/PEI could be sequentially coated on the surface of PVDF membrane.After the surface was coated,the membrane flux decreased sharply and the rejection rate increased sharply.As the coating time increased,the hydrophilicity of the membrane increased,the pore size of the membrane surface increased,the membrane flux rose,and the rejection rate decreased.The retention of PEG2000 and RB5 were 92%,75%,56%and 83%,62%,44%respectively when coating time were 6 h,12 h,24 h respectively which means retention of PVDF nanofiltration membranes was the highest when the coating time was 6 h.At this time,the stable flux of the membrane to the PEG2000 and RB5 solutions were 210 and 105 L/(m2·h)respectively.
