Smooth Blasting Technology Applied in High Gas Density Tunnels in Oil and Gas Field

Smooth blasting method has many advantages in tunnel excavation,it always leaves a regular tunnel shape after blasting,a high quality profile and requires less support.When smooth blasting is applied in tunnels with high gas density in oil and gas field,number of cracks in surrounding rock after blasting can be reduced and gas release can be greatly restrained,and that is beneficial to construction safety.However,in high gas density tunnels,blasting has special requests for detonators and explosives.Only three-level emulsion explosives and millisecond electric detonator for coalmines are allowed.Moreover,the delay is no more than 130ms and reverse charging is strictly prohibited,which leads to a higher requirement for smooth blasting technology.This paper introduces the smooth blasting technology applied in Longquanshan tunnel,and provides references for smooth blasting in similar high gas density tunnels in oil and gas field.
