Analysis on the Nature and Goals of the Cartographic Language’s Artification

The authors provide their analysis and perspectives on the philosophy and goals of the artification of cartographic language by using the theories and methods in Art and Psychology. The authors believe that the philosophy of the artification of cartographic language is to make cartographic language easy and attractive to readers,reflect humanized design concept; the main goal of the artification of cartographic language is to make cartographic language delicate, aesthetic, figurative and emotion-involved.
