Remote laser probing of hydrocarbons in the atmosphere |

| Abstract: | A lidar equation for the Raman backscattering of light from molecules of some hydrocarbons was numerically solved. The optimum value of the copper vapor laser wavelength for the probing of hydrocarbons at a distance from 40 m to 4 km was determined. |
