Abstract:For the requirement of reliability of power supply,the equipment test is changed from power outages at the request of preventive test to a live test mode;hence the live test has been strengthened.During the live testing process for arrester,the resistive current is frequently negative and the three-phase resistive current values vary greatly due to the installation arrangement of surge arresters,which can result in judgment difficult.A new testing method is summarized: the actual phase angle method for resistive current of MOA through a lot of field testing experience.The method enables measurement of arrester resistive current in operation unaffected by the installation arrangement of surge arrester and enables to use resistive current directly for judging deterioration of arrester which is more direct and accurate.
