Abstract:A portable test method for impulse grounding resistance is proposed,on the base of analyzing the existing calculation and measurement of tower impulse grounding resistance. The principle of the measurement, the structure of hardware,the implementation of software and measured results are introduced in this paper. After filling the slow wave head and low value dash current into the grounding network,it collects the voltage signal and the current signal of the grounding network. By transforming computation method after filtering,it gets the response voltage under the lightning current and works out the impulse grounding resistance. The test results of impulse grounding resistance on the contrast of traditional measurement show that the degree of belief is high and it is convenient for the measure of impulse grounding resistance.
