Hong Band: a Tailoring Group with Historic Contributions

This paper summarizes Hong Band's developing process, historic contributions and Hong Band spirit. It points out that the social reform in China provides Hong Band with historical opportunities of estab- lishment and development. In each historical period, they made new contributions for the development of China's clothing. Its historic contributions can be summarized to have established the modernized road of Chin- a's clothing, and the rich Hong Band spirit is an embodiment of hundred years of accumulation: keeping pace with Chinese revolution all along, making its home wherever it is with its eyes on the world and forming the unique tradition through scientific education.
