| Abstract: | According to the variability and the self relativity that generally exist in the soil character index,the random field theory is used to analyze the probabilistic distribution characteristics of the settlement of pile foundations and to calculate its characteristic value.On that basis,a method for estimating the upper limit settlement of pile foundations is presented and a new method for predicting the settlement of pile foundations is established. |
