| Abstract: | High temperature corrosion often occurs in refineries and petrochemical plants. This paper introduces various types of corrosion including oxidation, sulfurization, carburization, nitridation and halogen corrosion. The corrosion resistant alloys commonly used for refineries and petrochemical plants, materials selection criteria and typical materials for high temperature equipment are also introduced. |
