| Abstract: | The poor pass through ability of the demethanizing tower in the separation system and the great ethylene loss have become bottlenecks in the ethylene production since the startup of the 160 000 t/a ethylene in Lanzhou Chemical Industrial Corporation. Process simulation for the demethanizing system conducted by using PRO II simulator is described in the paper. Existing problems are analyzed and proposals for improvement are also given. |
