Global markets of UV/EB curable materials

There was an embryonic form of UV/EB curable coatings industry in European and American markets in 1970-1980s, and became a part of the global economic system. The value chain of UV/EB curable coatings industry would be composed of different enterprises with professional specialization （raw material producers, formulators and coating companies, manufacturers of UV/EB curing equipment, and applicators and/or product finishers）. In recent years, the markets of UV/EB curable coatings in major regions （North America, Europe and Asia） all over the world have grown at near double-digit rate, despite global economic recession. In 2012, the global consumption of UV/EB curable formulations was estimated at a volume of 457000 metric tons. Asia market has become the largest consumer of UV/EB curable formulations over the markets in Europe or North America. The focal point of the various applications for UV/EB curable materials differs very much in different regional markets, but the application for industrial coatings continues to be the first place.
