The Application of RCS-985 Microcomputer-Based Protection for 125MW Generator Transformer Unit in Weihei Power Plant

This article introduces how to apply RCS-985 microcomputer-based protection to 125MW generator-transformer unit in HuanengWeihai Power Plant.This protection scheme uses redundant sets of main protection, back-up protection and abnormal protection of generator.Moreover, the advantage of simple circuit and convenience in operation of redundant sets of both the main and back-up protection schemes are illustrated. Especially proposes the configuration scheme of TV and TA is proposed. At last, this paper indicates the direction of redundant sets of main and back-up protection scheme in large generator-transformer unit.
