| Abstract: | The historical development of semiconductor technology in the past 50 years is briefly reviewed in the paper. The research and development of transistors, integrated circuits, power semiconductor devices, semiconductor materials and their current status are described. Also, the developing trend of semiconductor technology and its role in information age at the beginning of the 21st century are discussed. |
