Application of equal-quotation to distribute the generation power of all units under operation between the power networks can reduce the net marginal cost C OM to the minimum. So the equal quotation method has played an important role in the net quotation of the power plants. The calculation for equal quotation has the following methods: linear equation group, Newton interpolation, Newton extrapolation, resultant curve and clamped plate dichotomy. All these methods have their own limitations, while the parabolic method of equal quotation is simple in calculation, good in operation and quick in convergence. The comparison of the parabolic method with the above mentioned 5 methods shows that the parabolic method is a relatively good method in the equal quotation for power plant to supply with power to the network.
