Abstract:In order to solve the problems of control overhead and large data packet delay in software-defined unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) ad hoc network routing maintenance,based on the existing OpenFlow protocol,an efficient and adaptive software-defined UAV ad hoc network routing maintenance mechanism(OpenFlow-EARM) is proposed.The new mechanism adopts an adaptive forwarding strategy based on distance estimation,estimates and selects the method with the lowest delay to forward the flow table entry missing data packet according to the historical flow entry information of the UAV node,thus reducing the transmission delay of the data packet.At the same time,in the process of maintaining the route,a message aggregation strategy based on period recovery is adopted to reduce the number of times of sending control packets,thereby reducing network control overhead.The simulation results show that the new mechanism is better than the existing Optimal Link State Routing(OLSR) protocol and OpenFlow protocol in terms of average end-to-end delay,network control overhead,and packet loss rate.
