Abstract: | The paper is based on the application of projective techniques to a design project which was the result of a competition initiated by the local education authority. Personal Construct Psychology and Ecoanalysis are used to investigate the largely tacit understanding of a public garden by 10–11 year old children. The results of the investigation were developed into a garden design which won first prize in the competition. |
