| Abstract: | This paper introduces in some details the bit interleaved parity(BIP)codes adopted in SDH for error monitoring,and derives the general relationship equation between BIP error block ratio and bit error ratio(BER)in the presence of Poisson distribution errors.Some of the typical curves of BIP error block ratio versus BER in SDH are also presented.Computer simulation shows its validity. |
