| Abstract: | We analyse the performance of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation via four order cumulant based MUSIC method (FOC MUSIC) in the presence of sensor errors. The variance of the estimate errors for FOC MUSIC is provided under the condition of great signal samples, with an emphasis on comparing robustness of FOC MUSIC with that of the covariance based MUSIC. Computer simulations demonstrate the results predicted by the given variance expression are approximate to those derived via the Monte Carlo tests. A new interpretation of effective apperture extension by higher order cumulant based processing is also given in this paper. |
