Abstract:The state of art of bevel gear measuring technology and features of different measuring methods are analysed, and the conception of local interchangeability of bevel gears is proposed. It is pointed out that the bevel gear integral error measuring technology, which was invented in China, is a powerful tool to realize the local interchange of bevel gears.
