Analysis of three-phase wound motors under unbalanced conditions

The analysis of three-phase wound motors with unbalanced supply voltages and unbalanced rotor-phase impedances is presented. The rotating field theory and coupling impedances approach are used in modelling the motor in the steady state. The effect of rotor skewing is considered. The relationships between stator and rotor quantities, in a general form, are obtained. The analysis is verified by comparison with the conventional equations for currents and torque.
