| Abstract: | Arc splines are planar, tangent continuous, piecewise curves made of circular arcs and straight line segments. They are important because they can be used as the cutting paths for numerically controlled cutting machinery. This paper presents an algorithm for finding an arc spline that is a minimax approximation to discrete data. |
