| Abstract: | The preparation, performance and application of ion exchange fibres (chemisorptive fibres) are reviewed. Four methods of preparation and the performances of the mentioned fibres, such as chemisorption, chemical stability and mechanical strength are introduced. The application of chemisorptive fibres to the purification of gases and aqueous solutions, desalination and softening of water, nuclear industry and recovery of rareearth element are also presented. |
