| 摘 要： | 利用生态女性主义的批评方法,分析凯特.肖邦的小说《觉醒》中埃德娜自杀的内在动因。指出父权—夫权联盟的压抑是其根本原因,搬进自己的房间是重要推手,大海对她的召唤是催化剂,被情人抛弃是导火索。小说欲意突破西方传统的二元对立,安排埃德娜自溺大海从而与自然取得身份认同,以她的不存在来体现她的存在感,而这只是一种乌托邦式的理想,具有一定的局限性。

| Abstract: | The inner motives of Edna's suicide are analyzed in the Eco-feminist perspective.The oppression of the father-husband union is the basic reason for her death;moving intoa room of her ownalso plays an important part in inducing her to suicide.The call of the sea is a catalyst,while being discarded by her lover is the blasting fuse.The novella means to deconstruct the traditional binary opposition and makes Edna commit suicide by drowning herself in the sea in order to reclaim her self identity in nature.By p... |
