复杂科学与城市的生态化、人性化改造

摘    要:首先提出一个在城市规划学科发展过程中易被忽视的问题--城市复杂性的研究.归纳了城市作为复杂自适应系统CAS(complex adaptive system)的5个方面特征;然后从抽象到真实,分析了"他组织"与"自组织"的共存,包括从单一连续性到与非连续性共存、从注重确定性到与非确定性共存、从突出事物的可分割性到与不可分割性共存、从严格的可预见性到与不可预见性共存、从着眼于宏大尺度的构筑物到与关注具体的生活环境共存.最后回归"城市使生活更美好"的主题,指出以"自组织"来弥补现有的城市缺陷,包括8个方面:微循环、微能源、微冲击、微更生、微交通、微创业、微绿地和微调控.

Abstract:The paper first raises a much neglected question-the complexity of cities. Then it summarizes five characteristics of urban complex adaptive sys-tem. At both the abstract and detailed level, the paper analyzes the co-existence of self-organizing system and other-organizing system, including the co-existence of continuities and discrete-ness, certainties and uncertainties, divisiveness and non-divisiveness, pre-dictabilities and non-predictabilities, and large-scale structures and micro-life spaces. At the end, the paper returns to the theme of "better city, better life" and points out that self-organizing systems should be relied upon to deal with urban deficiencies, including micro-circulation, micro-energy, micro-shock, micro-generation, micro-transportation, micro-entrepreneurialship,micro-greenery and micro-control.
