Causation Analysis and Control of Termite Hazard to Buried Cables

To counteract the problem of a large quantity of cables damaged by termites in the world each year,this paper emphatically analyzes the reasons of termites damaging the buried cables,and describes the merits and defects of several main methods to control termites,including ecological method,using anti-termite cables,poisoning the soil,and supervisory trapping and killing.Actual application results show that supervisory trapping and killing is an effective precaution against termite hazard to operating cables in today's China.
