As a kind of regenerative clean energy, wind energy can bring about great social, economic and environmental benefits. Guangdong is a province seriously short of conventional energy resources; therefore instituting the long-term policy of developing wind power generation is of important and profound significance. This paper analyzes the status quo, development potential, environmental and social benefits, etc. of wind power generation in Guangdong, expounds the feasibility of developing wind power generation in Guangdong, and presents corresponding solution in view of the factors restricting the development of wind power generation.
