摘    要:介绍了目前高速长距离光纤通信中常用的电光调制器的原理、结构和应用.目前半导体调制器的研究日趋成熟,性能不断改善.有机聚合物电光调制器被公认为是最具潜力的高速光通信调制器,正成为人们关注的焦点.

Abstract:The main electro--optic modulators in the high speed long distance optical fibercommunication are introduced, their principle, construction and application are described.The researches in semiconductor modulator are making great progress. The organic poly-mer electro--optic modulator is considered as the most potential modulator in the high speedoptical fiber communication, and is being the focus of people's attention.
