| Abstract: | The main electro--optic modulators in the high speed long distance optical fibercommunication are introduced, their principle, construction and application are described.The researches in semiconductor modulator are making great progress. The organic poly-mer electro--optic modulator is considered as the most potential modulator in the high speedoptical fiber communication, and is being the focus of people's attention. |
