Abstract:It is important to improve the environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR)of PE pipe.The influence of the PE molecular weight and its distribution.The degress of crystallinity,the structure of molcular chain and the components in PE such as carbon black,antioxidant and fillers as well as the moulding processing of the pipe on ESCR is discussed.Measures to improve ESCR of PE pipe are put forward in the paper.
